GRW is songwriter/multi-instrumentalist GARY WERTZ's army of one. GARY took a break from his duties as lead singer of SAN FRANCISCO's power pop combo HOT MUTE to record "The Natural"'s 19 songs in 18 manic days during the winter of '04. The results are mind-bogglingly good.

"The NATURAL" is quite obviously heavily influenced by 60's pop and 70's folk, but GARY is willing to mine any style that best juxtaposes with his darkly humorous lyrics - as is evidenced by the Death Disco of "Can't Remember" or the Sonic Youth pop of "It's A Party". Whatever the song style, his sing-along melodies are bound to stick to any brain - while his lyrics are actually about stuff. Give it a listen.

This music simply must be heard by as many humans as possible.
